Here we are for the second instalment of the final ten! And it’s all about space.
This tune was written and recorded all within the past week, just a little spark of something interesting that turned into the whole song and dance.
It’s a song of flights, stars and space. And the thoughts that must be overcome up there, “far above the moon”. Even when things go wrong, we always grasp hope.
I dig it for it being unusually (for me) driven by piano, and it has space galore – but perhaps the best part is the change from a coolish verse to a warm, glowing chorus. I really loved singing it; it felt like you might if you had to summon your heart and soul and remember to fight for life.
I hope you enjoy stars dying and stars being born, in all sorts of flashes and fires.

What a beautiful song! For me it has the hook, the special something, that denotes “hit single”. You just keep getting better and better!
Even Mr Bowie would be proud of that one. It’s album time I reckon.
