Well, to be honest, I’m not sure what to say about this one.
Except that it’s just a tad epic, and I really like it. Takes me somewhere.
I’ve been thinking lately I need to let rip a bit more, bugger the conventions. Let the music damn well speak for itself. No over-thinking. Let it come as is, let whatever passion and thought be left to its raw crazy self; be it hushed, yelling, smooth and shaped or cobbled and burning hot.
The song wasn’t quite meant to come out like this; although in truth I probably didn’t know how it was going to sound even as I was writing it. It just built into something of a pretty cacophony, seemingly by itself, all the while a little schizophrenic and yet quite lovely.
Even though there’s actually not that much to it. “It was a difficult birth.”
So yes, if your attention span is lacking today, well… However, if your heart feels big and you’ve got a few minutes of headspace, flick the switch.
Bugger the conventions a little bit more I say, when you get results like this.
